Comprehensive evaluation of an elderly man with pancreatic cancer who becomes silent after treatment for COVID-19

Background. Pancreatic cancer often runs silently for long periods, even in advanced stages. The elderly with COVID-19 poses a complex diagnostic challenge.
Clinical case. 93-year-old man who after treatment for covid develops obstructive jaundice syndrome caused by pancreatic cancer that had remained silent. The causes that precipitated the appearance of obstructive symptoms are discussed.
Conclusions. Both the COVID 19 disease and its pharmacological treatment can accelerate the presentation of obstructive symptoms that accompany pancreatic cancer. A comprehensive evaluation of the elderly with suspected COVID-19 is recommended due to the complexity of its clinical manifestations.
