Abstract. By 1933, tuberculosis was a huge health problem in Spain and few actions in terms of public health were effective. One of the efforts made was to spread the need to carry out concrete health actions for the people. This article shows the clear issuance of primary health care advice on tuberculosis such as risk factors, diet, need for timely diagnosis and treatment, in the newspaper El Aldeano of Castropol, Asturias under the professional approval of the phimologist J. Valdés Lambea in 1933.
