Interventions: An educational intervention was designed in two sessions lasting 30 minutes, with a pre and post evaluation.
Measurements: Sociodemographic data were collected; for normality tests, Kolmogorov Smirnov was used, obtaining a free distribution curve and, being samples with dependent variables, the Wilcoxon test was used.
Results: The highest percentage was concentrated from 30 to 39 years (41.5%), 65.1% considered themselves worker / employee, 47.2% had a bachelor's degree, 41.5% are married, 67% with children and 80.2% professed the Catholic religion, when comparing both evaluations, the outstanding perception improves by 12.2%, the perception sufficient by 8.4%. In the Wilcoxon Test a p< 0.05 was obtained, so the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected accepting the Alternate Hypothesis (H1).
Conclusion: An educational intervention directed according to the context of the population in the perception of vasectomy in men of reproductive age improves after the intervention.
